Emmet Rushe shares another list of things positive people don't do to achieve success.

This is the second part of a two-part blog on the 12 things that positive people don’t do or let keep them from their goals.

There is so much negativity around right now with the current situation, but we don’t have to let it run our lives.

We always keep things positive in our gym in Letterkenny and in our online coaching as it helps everyone to get better results and they also get to train in a positive and welcoming environment.

These are the 2nd, six things that we can do to be more positive and to help keep us focused on our goals.

It doesn’t matter what your goals are in life, these will help you to stay on track.

  1. They don’t resent other people’s success

If you are always focusing on others and what they are doing, it can cause feelings of resent.
Instead, focus on what you are doing and use other peoples success as a driving force to spur you on.
  2. They don’t feel the world owes them anything.

You are owed nothing in this life.
Instead of looking at what you think your should have, but don’t. Look at what you do have and then put your efforts into into working on your goals instead of complaining about why you don’t have them.

    Focus your efforts.
    Accept criticisim.
Acknowledge your flaws and always be greatful.
  3. They don’t give up at the first failure.

Success in anything, especially getting in shape does not happen overnight.

It will take time and effort and you will fail along the way.

But, the key to success isn’t in giving up at every failure.
It is in perseverence and staying the course until you get there.
  4. They don’t make the same mistakes over and over again.

Mistakes and failure are the best learning tools you will ever get.

But only if you learn from them and change your course so they don’t happen again.

You need to also learn to take and accept responsibility for your mistake and own it.

That way, you won’t try and blame someone or something else and learn nothing.

  5. They don’t fear spending time alone.

For most, solitude is a part of success.

Most successful people do their most productive work when alone.

Being alone can help you to focus, increase productivity, creativity, self awareness and help you to grow.

So, don’t be afraid of time spent alone.
  6. They don’t expect immediate results.

Just as we don’t give up on the first failure, we don’t expect an immediate result.

    Results don’t happen overnight.
They take time and in order to achieve them, you need to set out a long term plan with short term goals that will take you towards it.

    Work towards your goal.
Measure your progress along the way.
    Learn from your mistakes
    Look at the big picture
    Never give up.

Take a look at the list above and see what you can work on to help move you forward towards your goals and help to remove negativity from your life.
