There is huge sadness both in Donegal and in Boston following the passing of a much-loved mum, wife and friend, Vivienne Lynch McDaid.

The popular Buncrana woman had travelled to Boston last year for cancer treatment.

A massive Go Fund Me fundraiser was launched which raised over an incredible $200,000 which was also used to pay for eight cycles of chemotherapy in Boston.

However, the sad news has now emerged that Vivienne passed away on 8th December.
