A great spectacle of tractors hit the road last Saturday to support Castlederg girl Lucy McGeehan in her cancer treatment.

Lucy, aged 6, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma last year – a rare cancerous tumour of the bone.

The brave schoolgirl has close connections to Donegal, as her parents Lynne and Paul are both from the county.

Lucy has had a long road of treatment since August 2018. She finished 14 rounds of chemotherapy in May and is due to undergo proton beam therapies.

A tractor run organised by the Donegal Vintage Working Day Association was held on Saturday at Biddy Friel’s to help Lucy’s family cover the costs of treatment. The event was well attended and Lucy herself made a special appearance.
