Two Donegal singers will star in a hit music show this week on TG4.

Gráinne Gavigan from Ardara and Emma Ní Fhíoruisce from Gaoth Dobhair will be under the bright lights of the Opry Dhoire showcase.

You can catch their performances on Tuesday, November 14th at 9.30pm.

Opry Dhoire brings the essence of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry to Derry.  The live-recorded show is hosted by the King of country music, Daniel O’Donnell alongside Lynette Fay. They meet and chat with the artists and Daniel joins some of the stars on stage for a wonderful night of country music and craic.

Ireland’s latest sensations – Opry Dhoire

In episode two on November 14th Daniel is joined by the latest Country Sensations – Ben Troy, Grainne Gavigan, Richie Remo, Shane Owens and Jordan Mogey.  Grainne Gavigan joins Emma Ní Fhíoruisce for a wonderful rendition of ‘Songbird’ as Gaeilge and also entertains the audience with her solo Irish songs.

Sharing her experience with fans after the recording, Grainne said it was a ‘dream come true. “Words can’t describe how magical last night was in the Millennium Forum Derry,” she wrote on Facebook.

Each episode in the OPRY series sees the main artist perform a selection of their greatest hits, new exclusive material and some very special duets and collaborations.  Recorded in front of a live audience, mixing profiles/archive and comments from their biggest fans.

Country fans will mark a special date for their diaries as the Opry Dhoire series will end with the Big Tom show starring the legendary Tom McBride himself.  This special show will be broadcast on St. Stephen’s night – 26th December.
