Donegal Town woman Chloe Kennedy has been chosen at the Donegal Rose for this year's Rose of Tralee International Festival.

The announcement was made last night at an exciting selection event in the Abbey Hotel.

Twelve young women were interviewed for the role, but it was Chloe who emerged as the winner to follow in the footsteps of 2018 Donegal Rose Niamh Duggan.

Reigning Rose of Tralee Kirsten Maher was the special guest at the selection night, which was held in association with R Mc Cullagh Jewellers.

Chloe will be guaranteed an interview with Daithi O Se in the Dome this August as the Rose of Tralee International Festival celebrates the 60th Anniversary.

It’s a big weekend for the Kennedy family, as Chloe’s father Pauric, the Mayor of Donegal Town, is also contesting in the local elections.
