Boutique owner Louise Breslin was selected as a top 10 finalist at The Shelbourne Hotel’s Most Stylish Lady competition yesterday.

Following Ladies Day at the RDS Dublin Horse Show on Thursday August 10th, the most glamorous gallop to the No. 27 Bar at The Shelbourne for this extra contest.

Dungloe native Louise, founder of online jewellery boutique laveesha.com, wowed in a monochrome ensemble with an eyecatching bespoke headpiece.

She was picked as out as a top 10 finalist by judges: Editor-in-chief and beauty director of IMAGE Magazine Melanie Morris, image consultant and The Shelbourne’s own Style Butler Marietta Doran, and style icon and business woman Pippa O’Connor Ormond.

Louise tells Donegal Woman she went for a simple look which was completed by a stunning fascinator and a piece from her latest Laveesha collection:

“I went very simple with and off shoulder Reiss dress, Coast bolero and River Island shoes. My bag was Nine West which has a V in it which mimicked the V of the arrow feathers in fascinator.

“The fascinator was a bespoke piece by Falcarragh Milliner Levy Corcoran. She made it exactly as I had envisioned it. The hat was made with rabbit felt. The flowers on it were handmade from silk velvet encrusted with Swarovski crystals. The leaves were handcut leather. Finally necklace was Laveesha (current season),” she said.

“It was a lovely day and great fun,” Louise said.

The lavish surroundings of the five-star Shelbourne was awash with elegant ladies and splendid outfits yesterday.

All the top ten shortlisted Most Stylish Ladies won a voucher from The Salon at The Shelbourne.

The top prize for the Best Dressed Lady includes a two-night stay in the Shelbourne Hotel and two nights in Paris!
