Donegal TikTok star Eric Roberts sure knows how to arrange a show-stopping wedding surprise!

The Downings man tied the knot with his beautiful bride Niamh Emmett from Letterkenny on Monday.

The surprise of the day came when the groom arranged for top Irish act Chasing Abbey to perform at their wedding reception at Harvey’s Point.

The stellar Red Alert Band had already entertained the crowd, before Eric introduced his pals Chasing Abbey, leaving Niamh speechless! The band’s chart-topping hit ‘Oh My Johnny’ made it a night to remember for all.

It was a fitting end to a glamorous celebration which was well-documented across social media, much to the delight of fans of the Roberts family.

Eric and Niamh are childhood sweethearts who met 16 years ago. They got engaged in Santorini in March of this year and wed at St. Eunan’s Cathedral.

Eric Roberts has become the most followed person in Donegal thanks to his hilarious, short-form content on TikTok. Many people may not know that the former special needs assistant has spent the last 10 years working in a local Donegal school. Eric’s special relationship with his nephew Oisin, who has special needs, inspired him to pursue a career in this field. Earlier this month, Eric decided to leave the classroom for the last time and work on TikTok and social media full-time.

It has been a huge year for the Donegal native who has gained opportunities to work with some of the country’s biggest brands and even travel to Australia to promote the Women’s World Cup. And earlier this year, he interviewed Liam Neeson, which was undoubtedly a career highlight.

Congratulations to the happy couple, Eric and Niamh!
