Ireland's top B&Bs have been revealed by B&B Ireland - with two Donegal B&Bs placing on the list.

Riversdale Country House in Carndonagh and Ocean Breeze in Donegal Town were finalists for B&B Ireland’s annual B&B of the Year award.

The top B&Bs were chosen due to their exceptional reviews from guests who stayed at B&B Ireland properties in 2016.

Riversdale Country House in Carndonagh,  hosted by Wilson and Sharon Moore, offers guests an authentic farm experience. Guests can explore the paddocks and meet the donkeys, sheep, and lambs that inhabit them.

The home was quite modern, and the hostess and her husband very welcoming and helpful. Riversdale is ideally situated for day trips anywhere on the peninsula, especially spectacular Malin Head. We highly recommend this B&B for travelers, and hope to visit again.”
