Donegal entrepreneur Laura Bonner has won the award for Ulster Businesswoman of 2019 at the Graham Norton Gin Inspiring Awards.

With this accolade, the Muff Liquor Company co-founder has been counted as one of Ireland’s most inspiring women in business.

Laura launched the Muff Liquor Co. just 14 months ago, but in this time the Donegal-inspired spirits company has won multiple international awards and become a popular choice for gin and vodka drinkers. The company is now targetting the Asian market and crowdfunding, with investors rushing to become ‘Muff Liquors’ before the end of October.

Laura’s dedication and drive for expansion was celebrated at the Graham Norton Gin Inspiring Awards 2019 on Sunday as she became the Ulster Businesswoman of the Year.

The Inishowen woman told DW that she was stunned and honoured to receive the prestigious award.

Laura said: “I’m still in shock. I wasn’t expecting it at all. We went down to Cork knowing it was going to be a good night away but had no idea it would end up with me taking home the award.

“It’s a great feeling to be recognised especially being in a league with such amazing women in leadership across the Country. I’m truly honoured and excited to continue on.”
