Early Years Educators and Primary Teachers are invited to come together for a Teachmeet focusing on play and wellbeing on Wednesday 18th June 2025 from 5.30-7.30pm at ATU Donegal’s Letterkenny campus.
This lively event, hosted by the Department of Early Education and Social Studies at ATU Donegal promises to be an eventful evening of learning and innovation.
The Teachmeet will be opened by Dr. Nigel McKelvey, Head of Department of Early Education and Social Studies.
Following the open and informal Teachmeet philosophy, the event will provide a relaxed and supportive space for the sharing of practical ideas, reflection and the opportunity to learn across disciplines. The presentations on the night will be short, focused and creative, with presentations lasting either five or seven minutes.
The aim of the Teachmeet is to celebrate what is working across Early Years Settings and Primary Schools and learn from one another in the areas of play and wellbeing.
Whether you are exploring playful learning, seeking creative ways to support wellbeing or trying to find new ways to create inclusive environments, the Teachmeet is for you. Expect a mix of strategies and creative approaches that you can take back to your own setting to try. Whether you want to present an idea or simply listen, we would love to see you there. Your presentation doesn’t need to be polished and you don’t need to be an expert, every piece of practice shared is a lesson learned.
The Teachmeet will take place in ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus in room 1452 and registration will begin at 5pm. For more information, please contact maggie.green@atu.ie. If you would like to register for the event, please complete this form: https://forms.office.com/e/tqciQE6HE5
