Buncrana author Jade O’Neill is set to charm young readers and families yet again with the release of her newest children’s book.

The book is the first of a series titled ‘Adventures of the Kinnego Kids’.

Inspired by the simple joy of rural life, the book follows a group of spirited young siblings growing up on a farm in the heart of Donegal. It is suitable for ages 4-8.

Set against the backdrop of the rolling hills and rivers of Donegal, the story celebrates the magic of nature, family bonds, and childhood imagination. With its relatable characters and warm storytelling, ‘Adventures of the Kinnego Kids’ is a perfect read for children.

Jade, a mum of four, takes inspiration from her family and the scenery of Buncrana and Inishowen. Her debut book was a festive tale called ‘Swan Park Robin’’, released last November.

To mark the book’s launch, Jade will be hosting a book signing event today, Tuesday, 6th May at 3:00-4.00 PM in Mac’s Bookshop, Buncrana.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the author, hear more about the inspiration behind the book, and pick up a signed copy.

“I wanted to capture the wonder of growing up surrounded by nature, animals, and the little adventures that come with life on a farm, with some life lessons in the mix,” says Jade. “Donegal has always been home, and I hope this book brings a bit of Donegal magic to families everywhere.”
