Delicious treats mixed with fabulous fashion were the recipe for a delightful night at the Cup Cake Fantasy Charity Fashion Show in Solis Lough Eske Castle Hotel on Sunday March 5th.

More than 300 guests enjoyed evening tea while admiring the latest SS17 collections from Topher Lily, McElhinneys, Zuba, Magee of Donegal, Stella Boutique, The Irish House, Get That Trend, Peters Manshop and All Sports.

All proceeds from the event were in aid of two charities which support the local community – Pieta House and Donegal Community Hospital Patient Comfort Fund.

A raffle with a hugely generous range of spot prizes also added to the feel-good fundraising atmosphere.

Five delicious flavours of cup cakes were the sweet offerings of the night. The colourful collection created by the castle’s chefs were summer lemonade fizz, Solis vanilla 99, chocolate extravaganza rocky road, rich red velvet and carrot ’n dream

Management and staff of the hotel all took to the catwalk with confidence to showcase the perfectly-styled ensembles. A diverse range of ages and nationalities ensured that there was a look to suit every individual’s tastes.

Jovial MC Noel Cunningham introduced each model and highlighted the fantastic creations and styles. He gave out some top quality fashion advice too – including tips for occasionwear like adding a bold pop of colour and making a statement with your perch hat or fascinator.

Guests also learned from Noel that the era of brides wearing fake tan will be fazed out this year. Peaches and cream and the softly blushing English Rose looks are freshening things up in the wedding scene.
