Clannad’s Moya Brennan was officially inaugurated as the 2023 Donegal Person of the Year last night.

She was the centrepiece of the Donegal Association Dublin’s annual Gala Ball last night at the prestigious Bonnington Hotel.

After accepting the award, Moya and an eclectic collection of musicians provided the entertainment at a wonderful night out celebrating one of Donegal’s proudest exports.

She was announced as this year’s recipient at a ceremony in Creeslough in February, where tribute was paid to the people of Creeslough who were collectively named Donegal Person of the Year for 2022.

The first lady of Celtic Music, Moya Brennan has had an amazing career which has spanned an incredible six decades and is still going strong. Moya has many fans from all over the world, has sold millions of records and recorded 25 albums.
