The 73rd Miss Universe competition is now officially open for applications.

This is an opportunity to follow in footsteps of previous winners Grainne Gallanagh from Buncrana, Roz Purcell, Joanna Cooper and current title holder Aishah Akorede and represent Ireland at the spectacular final of the competition which takes place this year in Mexico in November.

For the first time ever, applicants can be married or divorced, they can be mothers or trans women and there is NO upper age limit of height requirements.

Contestants from over 90 countries compete each year for the title of Miss Universe.

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) is a global, inclusive organization that celebrates all cultures, backgrounds and religions creating a safe space for women to share their stories and drive impact personally, professionally, and philanthropically. The women who participate in this international platform serve as inspirational leaders and role models to their communities and fans around the world.

The 73rd Miss Universe Competition takes place in Mexico in November 2024. The highly-anticipated event will feature 90 women from around the globe vying for the job of Miss Universe, selected via events including personal statements, in-depth interviews, evening gown, and swimwear. The evening will culminate with the 72nd Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua crowning her successor at the end of the event.

Miss Universe Ireland will be crowned in June 2024 and the competition is now OPEN for applications with a straightforward application process available on www.missuniverseireland.ie. The closing date for applications is February 29th 2024 at 5pm.
