Local artist Audrey Henry received great support for the opening of the ‘Dear Donegal’ art exhibition at An Grianan Theatre Letterkenny on Friday.

The exhibition showcases 87 oil paintings, each depicting a unique aspect of the beautiful Donegal landscape.

Audrey’s unique techniques bring the texture and colour of her scenes to life, creating artwork that makes for an ideal gift for people with a special love of Donegal.

Audrey’s artistic process involves capturing the essence of each season by taking photos and sketches on location, then creating her art in her home studio in Ballyraine, Letterkenny. Her use of texture and colour in her thick impasto style perfectly captures the rugged beauty of her home county.
