Young Donegal singer Jessica McKean is to represent Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

The ten-year-old from St Johnston sang her heart out to get to the final of the show on TG4.

After a nail biting final on TG4’s Junior Eurovision Éire, Jessica won the public vote to represent Ireland at this year’s contest in Nice, France on Sunday 26th of November.

Jessica was supported all the way by her parents Sarah and Wesley and sister, Louisa (9) and her six-year-old brother Archie.

A huge party was held in Maggie’s Tavern in St Johnston for Jessica and her family as the whole community got behind the young Donegal singer.

The show’s winner will have a song specially written to suit them, which they will then perform in Nice.

Jessica is the youngest-ever Irish finalist to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest selection competition.
