Ballybofey will be brightened by a rainbow of colour this Sunday as Kym’s Kolour Fun Run makes a welcome return.

The fundraiser is back and bigger than ever this year, with music and family fun taking place all day at Cheers Bar.

Established in memory of Kym Harley, who lost her life in a road tragedy in 2014, the colour run has become a hugely popular event in Ballybofey since its inception.

“Our aim for this event is to bring some colour, fun, and life to Ballybofey, just what Kym radiated,” the Harley family said.

The walk/run will kick off from the Shopping Centre Car park (McElhinneys) at 2pm and will have two routes – a 5k route and a shorter route for those with small children.

Participants are encouraged to wear a white t-shirt and fun accessories to complement the theme – the more colourful, the better! There will be spot prizes and refreshments afterwards.

In addition to the fun run, Cheers Bar will host a ‘Beat on the Street’ event as they celebrate 30 years in business. Don’t miss live music from these great local acts:

All funds raised will be donated to local causes. For example, a life-saving defibrillator was installed at Ballybofey United FC in 2018 in Kym’s memory.

Early registration has already begun at Cheers Bar, Main Street Ballybofey, and will continue until August 13th.

Registration times from: Thursday 4pm, Friday/Sat/Sun 12pm. (Tuesday and Wednesday closed).

There will also be an option for on-the-day registration, but it will close at 1:30 pm.

Participants are encouraged to join this fun-filled event, contribute to great local causes and honour Kym’s memory.
