And Just Like That…. Sarah Jessica Parker has her millions of followers falling in love with Donegal again!

The Hollywood actress had another idyllic holiday at her ‘home from home’ in Kilcar, and couldn’t wait to tell the world about it.

She shared a poetic post in Instragam today celebrating rural Donegal’s sights, smells and sensations.

From Magee of Donegal tweed to the SuperValu shelves stocked with Invivo X SJP wine, Sarah Jessica took the chance to shine a light on local businesses.

The Instagram post talks of turf, sea and new spuds, which are aspects of Ireland that may be a world apart from her busy life in NYC.

The peaceful photos show how SJP whiled away the days reading and cooking at her and her husband Matthew Broderick’s renovated cottage on the coast.

She wrote: Photos really. They never quite capture it.
And there is always more.
And you should have SEEN it.
Had a bite.
Smelled the turf.
Watched the sea.
Heard him talking.
Cooked the chop.
Buttered the spud. The new spud.
Seen the colors.
Touched the tweed.
Had the tea.
The perfect York cabbage.
So we did.
So it was.
Til next time.
X, SJ

As the new season of And Just Like That airs this summer, Donegal businesses have been reaping the benefits of Sarah Jessica’s support of local makers.

Donegal Tweed had its own fashion moment on the streets of Manhattan when SJP wore a coat by Triona Design on the new series.

A wintry episode six features Carrie Bradshaw stepping out in style in the ‘Faye’ mac that Sarah Jessica picked up in Donegal.

Triona Designs, based in Donegal Town and Ardara, were buzzing with excitement to see the episode after behind-the-scenes shots emerged showing the coat on Carrie back in November.

“Immediately we were inundated with customer queries about the coat. The coat sold out within 24 hours of the images appearing online,” a spokesperson for Triona Design told Donegal Woman.

Since then, the design studio accumulated a large pre order list while creating more black, white & red doubled breasted Faye Mac Coats to meet the demand.

“We are so grateful to Sarah Jessica Parker and all who are involved in the production of the show for this international endorsement of our brand,” they said.

“We were delighted with how the coat was presented on the sixth episode of the second season of And Just Like That.

“We were also honoured to feature in the same episode as fellow Irish Designer Paula Rowen who designed a beautiful pair of gloves for Nikki Parker.”

The team also issued their gratitude to their followers and to all customers who choose to support local.

The good news is that the flattering coat is still available to buy on trionadesign.com. Or if you’re in Donegal Town, spot the famous ‘Faye’ on the window!
