Two local women will be taking the plunge on the 1st of July as they sky dive in aid of Cancer Care West Letterkenny.

Sinead Boyce and Grainne Duffy, who work for Cancer Care West Letterkenny, will be taking the brave step in order to raise vital funds for the centre that has offered support to cancer patients and their loved ones and its mission statement has always been that you don’t need to go through cancer alone.

Over the years, the centre has developed a range of services, all of which have provided to help patients navigate the challenge of getting through illness and adjusting to life after treatment.

Services such as support to Oncology patients and their carers such as counselling, reflexology, support groups, lymphoedema clinics, combined pilates & relaxation class and a volunteer oncology nurse specialist on site who liaises with patients on a regular basis.

“All of the services are provided free of charge which would not at all be possible without the extraordinary and very generous support of the local community,” Sinead and Grainne said.

“Such generous financial support enables the centre to continue to offer the much needed assistance that so many cancer patients have found extremely beneficial over the years.

“Funds raised will be used to sustain the centre going forward.”

“We hope that you can help us by donating whatever you can,” they added.

Donations can be made to Sinead and Grainne’s fund through this link: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/CancerCareWestDonegal and they encourage everyone to share to show support for the cause.
