Friends of a Fanad woman diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2022 came together to show their support for her over Easter.

Francine Costello, now a resident in Mayo, found immense support during her toughest year from the Marie Keating Foundation.

Together with her two little daughters, Francine showed her own tanks to the foundation by making and selling colourful bracelets.

But family and friends of Francine took that fundraising a step further last weekend.

On Easter Saturday her friends and family came together in Portsalon to show support for her fundraising and help her raise some more money.

The day started with an 8km walk along the Colmcille trail through Portsalon and Drumnacraig.

In the afternoon there was a fun Pink Swim at the pier in Portsalon and then the day was ended by dancing the night away at an eighties disco with a bumper raffle taking place also.

A great fun day was had by all and most importantly €2,200 euro was raised for the Foundation.

Well done each and every person who helped make it a very special day.

All at Donegal Daily and Donegal Woman wish Francine and her family best wishes and good health on their journey.
