The Patrick Gildea Hairdressing Team are celebrating amazing achievements in the prestigious Trend Vision Awards in London.
The Letterkenny salon team scooped Gold for Ireland at the event, which was attended by over 1,000 industry leaders from Ireland & UK.
Patrick Gildea’s Stylist Florrie was highly commended in the Editorial Look category and Elaine Crown took home the first place Gold trophy in the highly competitive Colour Artist award category.
The Wella International TrendVision Award is the hairdressing competition of the year where passion, vision and creativity collide and top salons from all over the world battle it out for a trophy at one of the world’s most prestigious annual hairdressing competitions.
This was truly a night to remember, with an electric atmosphere that saw the hairdressing industry greats come together in one room.
Elaine competed against some of the most talented and creative hairdressers to take home the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2021 Winner in the COLOUR ARTIST category.
Commenting on the salon success at TrendVision, Patrick said: “What an amazing achievement from our team to have two stylists from our Salon on stage in London at the TrendVision finals! Both entries were fantastic, and we are so so proud of both Elaine and Florrie. The moment Elaine from Patrick Gildea Hairdressing was announced as the winner, we jumped to our feet and were bursting with pride in bringing this title back to Ireland. We have been working on attaining this award for 10 years now and to take such a prestigious award home to Donegal is just incredible. Winning an award in the Colour Artist category demonstrates the ability to create truly personalised cut and colour transformation, and a completely tailored look to suit the individual.

Speaking about the success Elaine commented: “We were blown away by the support from everyone. To come home with a trophy to our team was one of the most amazing experiences. Being on the stage at TrendVision and Winning has been a dream I have had for many years and I’ve always said – one day I’ll get there! I am truly overwhelmed by all the messages of congratulations and to all my salon teammates for travelling to support me and to my model Jocelyn for being a dream to work with. I would like to thank Patrick for always believing in me and supporting me in this wonderful salon.”
