Female artists from Antrim all the way to Arranmore Island have launched a new video to share positivity with people at home and abroad.
The music video cover of Francie Mooney’s’Paddy’s Green Shamrock Shore/ Gleanntáin Glas Gaoth Dobhair’ combines the beauty of our country with beautiful music.
The ‘Wild Atlantic Women’ group comprises of 54 musicians who have been collaborating remotely on a bilingual production, highlighting the voices, music and scenery of our beautiful part of the world.
The group has set out to bring a piece of positivity home to the diaspora at home and abroad, despite the 5k limitations of this lockdown.
The production was coordinated by Letterkenny singer Brí Carr, who said: “We achieved it, working together, and I, as producer, am extremely proud of the hard work put in by all the girls, it is no easy task to stand on a beach and sing!”
“The Wild Atlantic Women Donegal girls once again show our strength, solidarity and song.”
