A regular social group for women is resuming in Letterkenny this week and all are welcome.
The Cara House Ladies Group is a casual gathering for women to get together, learn from information sessions and demonstrations and enjoy an afternoon in friendly company.
The first meeting takes place at Cara House, Lower Main Street Letterkenny, on Tuesday 1st October at 2.30pm. The gatherings are expected to last between an hour and 90 minutes.
Claire Doherty, organiser, said the group is a casual social occasion: “Most weeks it will be a social event, we will provide tea and coffee and let the women get to know each other.
“We will have demonstrations too – a lady from Boots will be coming to do beauty one week and another lady will be demonstrating hand massages.
“The community garda and the RSA will be with us also to give advice on getting ready for winter and to advise women on how to protect themselves in their home.”
The group is open to women of all ages and is free to attend. Attendees will be welcome to share ideas on what topics they would like to hear about.
Cara House also run a Men’s Group on Mondays from 10am-12noon and another Over 50s Women’s Group in Peggy’s Kitchen, Glencar every Thursday at 2pm.
The groups are ideal for people who want to meet new and familiar faces from their local areas.
