A drag queen from Cloghan in Donegal will be hoping to be the star of the show when she appears on Ireland's Got Talent this weekend.

Lucy Lashes, aka John Campbell, aged 28, is a talented singer who plans to serve the judges more than just looks in Saturday’s edition of the variety show on Virgin Media One.

John created Lucy Lashes eight years ago in Letterkenny and helped set up Donegal’s first LGBT club. He moved from Donegal to Dublin three years ago and regularly performs as a live singing drag act.

Lucy Lashes

Lucy Lashes often amazes her audiences when they hear her sing live, as they expect a drag queen to mime along to a track.

Lucy’s husband and friends are her biggest fans and she has family in London who have never seen her show yet – until this TV appearance.

She once turned up to a gig with only 3 people in the audience, but this weekend she will perform to a jam-packed Helix Theatre. Can she charm the audience, and more importantly the judges?

That’s not the only Donegal act this weekend:

There will be another unique north west presence on Ireland’s Got Talent this Saturday in the form of a Daniel O’Donnell tribute act.

The Wee Daniels

The ‘Wee Daniels’ from Cavan are five friends aged 9-13, who have mastered Daniel’s singing style, outfits, signature moves, and they’ve even mastered the Daniel ‘wink’. Fans of the legendary Donegal singer will be looking forward to that audition.

Tune into Virgin Media One on Saturday February 16th at 7.30pm for the third episode of Ireland’s Got Talent
