It's finally time to say goodbye to winter and welcome the sun to Donegal - it's been too long!

We’ll be feeling hot hot hot from Thursday to Saturday in Donegal with the arrival of an African air plume that will raise temperatures as high as 20C.

We’ll be seeing the hottest days of the year so far this weekend – and the hottest conditions Ireland has seen in six months.

It’s been a long and stormy winter, and we’re so ready to get the sunnies on and enjoy the great outdoors.

Hot and dry weather is forecast for the north west from Thursday until Saturday. The east and south of Ireland may be getting the highest temperatures, but we’ll not complain about anything over 15C.

The sunny weather is due to last until Saturday night before rain returns, while hot temperatures will remain until Monday. How will you be spending these sunny days?
