How to update your Christmas decoration collection in a sophisticated and grown-up way.

The countdown is officially on. The world-famous Late Late Toy Show is on Friday December 2nd. For a lot of us, that marks the start of our festive period. Now thanks to Donegal Woman you already know what you will be wearing on the couch with your glass of wine and box of choccies. If you missed it you can get it here.

It’s time to get serious about what our trees will be wearing. Christmas in my house is a mixture of vintage and new Christmas decorations. There are decorations that my child has made at school along with garish tinsel that I think is as old as me. When it comes to Christmas decorations more is more. More sparkles, more ribbons, more glitter – I want it all, but of course in a sophisticated and grown-up way.

Yes ladies, we can have it all this Christmas without looking like Kat Slater has attacked our living rooms.

These are some of the decorations that I am lusting over at the moment. I always find adding a few new pieces to the collection each year always gives the overall feel of a decorated home and a more modern touch.
