A great girls’ day out full of fun, style and laughter was had at the Shandon Hotel & Spa this afternoon with Colour Me Bootiful and friends.

The Sunday Funday event was a glamorous celebration of all things beauty – and a great excuse for guests to dress up and party!

Well-known Derry influencer and salon owner Antonia Gallagher pulled out all the stops to make it a fun afternoon, with drag queen extraordinaire Totally Tailor keeping the good spirits high.

Guests were treated to bubbly, wine and a delicious afternoon tea in Shandon Hotel ballroom, which was looking extra decadent and floral today.

The demonstrations were by Antonia, who did a full makeup tutorial, as well as a summer fashion feature with DV8 Foyleside and a hair demo by Hair Stand Richmond Centre. A mental health talk with Antonia, Counsellor Debbie Mullan and Shannon Willox, founder of Women Empowerment Corner, delved into endurance, resilience and caring for yourself and for others.

Checking out the goodie bag!

Guests also had plenty of opportunities to shop around at pop-up stands by some wonderful local businesses. The goodie bags and raffle were a highlight of the day, and guests all went home with a wide range of beauty and foodie gifts.

A special thank you to Antonia’s hubby Paul who picked me as best dressed! I wore a River Island dress, a tiara from ASOS and Knight and Day jewellery from Stevens Jewellers Letterkenny. But with the glamour on show today, I think that everyone in the room deserved a prize!
