Rachel visited local retailers and collected baler twine which is a plastic used to secure packaging. She thought it would be interesting to weave, and see what the outcome would be.

A strong pliable fabric was produced which was then used to create the Haute Couture design and fabulous hat which is called All Wrap Up.

Aoife’s creation Olann Álainn was created using textures of wool manipulated into creative designs to achieve a colourful finish.

The design is a modern-take on a classic ball gown dress and features leggings underneath a full skirt inspired by the student’s inner princess, the headpiece and ‘fluffy’ shoes complete the design.

Aoife is involved in Junk Kouture for the first time but is the third sister in a house of Junk Kouture enthusiasts, having already created 7 dresses between them and reaching the grand final on multiple occasions.

It’s time for Deele College students Rachel & Aoife to shine, and embrace their well deserved moments in the spotlight!
