A Donegal scientist has been elected as President of Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE).

Dr Anne-Marie Baird, is currently a Senior Research Fellow at Trinity College in Dublin.

She was educated at Glassan NS, PCC Falcarragh, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and now Trinity College.

Lung Cancer Europe is an umbrella organisation, which is the voice of people impacted by lung cancer at a European level.

LuCE advocates for European policies that will lead to improvements in early detection, treatment, and care for all those impacted by lung cancer.

It currently has 27 members representing over 20 countries.

Some may already be familiar with Anne-Marie’s advocacy work as she has held Donegal Shines A Light on Lung Cancer for the past four years in Glenveagh National Park.
