Penneys staff in Letterkenny have come up with a charitable idea for anyone who is missing a good big Penneys shop during Covid-19.

Team Penneys Letterkenny are donating three hampers packed with all our store favourites for a draw to support the Donegal Hospice.

The Hospice is facing unprecedented financial challenges due to Covid-19, with most major fundraisers cancelled or postponed during the pandemic, and communities are being asked to donate what they can to support the vital service.

Staff and management in Penneys Letterkenny answered this call by starting an online fundraising raffle, which has already raised almost €2,000.

Last month, Team Penneys donated 200 care packs to Letterkenny University Hospital as part of their global volunteer effort

For anyone who misses splurging out on socks, PJs and Penneys clothing and accessories, this raffle is for you. The draw will take place on 30th May 2020, and staff will be creating three hampers of Penneys favourites based on the winners’ preferences.

Entries are collected via donations to the ‘Penneys LK raffle hampers for hospice’ GoFundMe page. One donation = one entry. Once a person has donated, they are asked to screenshot their proof of donation and comment underneath this Facebook post to enter: www.facebook.com/stylemakescentsletterkenny/posts/3751426494929069

The winners will be contacted by Team Penneys via Facebook or Instagram and asked details about their size in clothes (this hamper will also make a great present if you wish to give it to someone else). The hamper can be made for a male, female or child. This will all be sorted with the winner after the draw takes place.

“We would like to thank you all in advance for your support and generosity during these challenging times,” said a Facebook post from the team.
