North West Opera will perform an unmissable gala concert in An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny next month.

Favourites from Musicals & Operas’ takes place on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November and will showcase the biggest hits in theatrical history.

International conductor Piotr Oleksiak is flying in specially for the event and he’ll be joined by international soloists, Markus Herzog, tenor, and Brazilian baritone Fernando Araujo for the two-night event.

Concert goers can expect a truly memorable evening where they’ll be treated to the top twenty hits from favourite musicals, as well as a few dotted highlights of much-loved operas.

North West Opera will perform ‘Favourites from Musicals and Operas’, in An Grianan Theatre on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November. The show will feature the top 20 hits in theatrical history including Cats.

From the best of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera and Cats to classic numbers from Les Misérables and other Broadway shows such as South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof, the event will be topped off with the greatest opera performances from La Bohème and Carmen.

‘Favourites from Musicals & Operas’ is supported by a local cast and full orchestra, and MC on the night is Billy Patterson, who is well-known in the musical scene in the northwest.
