Miss Donegal Holly Mc Crea and her family opened up their home today to host a vintage tea party in aid of Variety Ireland.
A warm welcome and a sweet treat awaited everyone who arrived at The Cove Lodge B&B in Donegal Town for the event this Saturday afternoon.
The fundraiser was organised in support of Variety Ireland, a non-profit children’s charity that helps children who are sick, disadvantaged and have special needs. Guests offered donations and entered a raffle with prizes kindly sponsored by local businesses.
As a Miss Ireland 2019 finalist, Holly has enthusiastically embraced the pageant’s charity partnership with Variety. The ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ element of the competition is a perfect fit for Holly who, as a teacher, is passionate about working with children with special educational needs.
Some of Holly’s friends from the Bluestacks Special Needs Foundation where she volunteers also came along to enjoy the fundraiser.
With china teacups, pretty decor and endless amounts of cake and bakes, the event was the perfect afternoon tea party – and an enjoyable way to spend a rainy Saturday!
