Ballybofey’s newest wine bar is hosting its first over 30’s disco this weekend.

‘Live your best life’ is the motto that local couple Paddy and Shelley share with their customers at Gall Mc’s.

As the owners of the Hatter Tea Room and Express, they know about treating yourself with good food and coffee.

Now, they have transferred those famous elements into a new wine bar and pizzeria that’s the perfect meeting spot for friends and families.

“It’s going to be a brilliant night where everyone can just have fun, let their hair down and forget about work, kids, and everything else on a Saturday night and have a good dance,” Shelley said.

“We’ll have a pink gin reception and DJ Shaun Gallagher playing all the best old skool house classics all night. It’s going to be the perfect excuse to go back in time to enjoy good music and a great night out with friends.”

During the week and weekends, Gall Mc’s has become somewhere to relax and enjoy delicious fresh pizzas and good wines that you won’t get anywhere else in Donegal.

The large bar caters to everyone, whether you want a fun night out sampling cocktails, have a quiet catch-up, watch a match or throw a party.

Shelley told DW: “We opened before Christmas to give Ballybofey something new and exciting.

“People love the warm and casual atmosphere. For young people, it’s a place to come out for catching up and chatting, have a party, or for families coming out for a bite in the evening.

“And our pizzas are flying out the door. Everything we have is made fresh and we plan to introduce more dishes to the menu soon.”

Gall Mc’s have been setting new trends for events and entertainment in the Twin Towns too. From karaoke to live music and Thursday games nights, there’s nearly always something happening.

“We’ve put a lot of work into setting up this new venue. We have a great team who are like a family and love trying new things,” Shelley said.

Paddy and Shelley will soon be celebrating five years since the launch of the Hatter Tea Room in Stranorlar. The Hatter Express followed three years later on Main Street Ballybofey.

Now, they’ve put their surnames together (Gallen and McMenamin) to create something unique at Gall Mc’s – and everyone is welcome to come and see what it’s all about.

Gall Mc’s is open from 6pm Tues-Thurs and from 4pm Fri-Sun
