Plans are in store for Donegal's biggest free health and wellbeing event this June.

There will be something for everyone when Finn Valley Community Health Forum (FVCHF) host their 2nd Annual ‘Health and Wellbeing Event’ on Thursday 14 June.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event in the Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar at 7pm.  

Upwards of 80, vendors and providers will be there on the evening to provide information, advice, samples, demonstrations and more in all aspects of diet, nutrition, physical, emotional and spiritual health.  

A sample of what you can expect at the event will include, free tasters in reflexology, mindfulness, blood pressure checks, health information and advice from local gyms, fitness class providers, statutory agencies, dental advice by Stranorlar Dental, free tea coffee from The Hatter Tearoom and healthy food tastings from BodyFuel Co, Yes Chef, Benny and Co, McConnell’s Butchers, Supervalu, Discover Juice, and many local groups and organisations.

Monica Ramsey, Marketing Officer with the Finn Valley Centre and member of the FVCHF said “This event initially began four years ago as part of the Feelgood Fortnight initiative which was championed by the Finn Valley Positive Mental Health Group, supported by the Finn Valley Centre. Since that time it has grown year on year, from a modest 17 stands in year one to almost 80 this year, such is the interest.  

“The businesses and groups taking part are all giving their time free and there will be something for everyone at the event. All are encouraged to come along to this free event.”

Leah Fairman of Ballybofey and Stranorlar Chamber of Commerce and member, of the FVCHF said “Our community is at its best when businesses and community groups work together, and this event highlights the fantastic teamwork that happens between everyone in the towns all year round.”
