Summer weather will return this week, despite what you see out the window today!

Donegal is set to become positively exotic this weekend with highs of 22-24 degrees celsius and up to six days of dry bright sunny weather. Just typical during exam time!

Today (Monday) sees Donegal and much of the west currently under a Status Yellow rainfall warning. Accumulations of 25mm to 35mm are forecast, with the warning in place until 7pm this evening.

The rain should clear up tonight, according to Met Eireann, and while it will be a cold night (lows of 4 degrees) this will make way for a dry Tuesday with sunny spells.

We really like the sound of the forecast from Wednesday through to next Tuesday. Mid 20s, dry days, warm nights, sunshine and a good weekend outlook should have everyone in good spirits.

Time to get the BBQ plans in order!
