Local beauty industry leader Anjali Mohammed is setting out to equip students with the best skills to impress clients and employers.

Motivated pupils are now being invited to enrol at Donegal’s first fully-private Beauty College, which opened this month in Letterkenny.

The Saffron College of Hair and Beauty  opened at Tobins Complex in Letterkenny, where experienced professionals will soon begin delivering courses in a salon-themed environment.

Anjali has almost 20 years’ experience in the beauty industry, owning two salons in Letterkenny at O’Boyces Corner and Mount Errigal Hotel and eight in India. The inspiration to set up a college came last year, when she struggled to find a full-time therapist with the skills and confidence to work in her salons.

Through 11 ITEC Diploma courses and 16 Certificate Courses, Anjali has set out to equip trainees from all across the North West with the best knowledge and experience to work on their own. Business Management is a key module on the long-term courses to help therapists go on to kick-start their careers in beauty and hairdressing

The wide range of courses cover Beauty Therapy to Body Therapy, Makeup, Massages, Nail Art, Hair Styling, specialised beauty treatments and more.

Anjali will deliver Beauty Therapy almost all other classes, and is excited to share her many years of international experience with eager students.

New and established therapists who study at Saffron will gain internationally recognised qualifications to add to their treatment lists and increase their earnings. They will gain some of the most advanced knowledge and skills available locally to work in the ever-popular beauty industry.

Anjali said: “Beauty is a service that never goes out of demand. Our expert tutors will give students all the training and the confidence they need to work on their own. The demand for skilled graduates is there, so you will start making money after the 9-month courses.”

Courses range in duration, and are held on a full-time, part-time and evening basis.

Anjali said: “The only requirement from applicants is that they are serious about the course and have the motivation to commit to the classes. They must want to make a career out of beauty.”

The luxurious college is designed like a salon so students can adjust to the real working environment.

Makeup and skincare training is delivered with some of the best brands in the world, including Dermalogica, Inglot, Illamasqua and Mac. The Saffron College also provides a years’ support following course completion to ensure their students are cutting edge.

Anjali and the teaching team are excited to welcome their first classes, beginning from 5th March 2018.
