Daniel and Majella O’Donnell’s episode of Room to Improve is finally coming to our screens this Sunday and it looks like we’re in for an entertaining power struggle between three strong characters.

Daniel, Dermot and Majella – Room to Improve

‘There’s not a thing wrong with it’ would be a familiar saying among couples squabbling over home renovations, and it’s a taste of things to come on RTE’s Room to Improve this Sunday at 9.30pm.

Daniel and Majella’s four-bed detached home in Kincasslagh is about to get the Dermot Bannon treatment. Their hopes to upgrade three rooms will escalate to a large-scale project, and Daniel will be determined to stick with their €200,000 budget while Majella wants to get the very best from her architect.

Dermot plans to unify three ground floor rooms to create a huge open plan kitchen and living area, overlooked by a mezzanine library. To introduce light and views of the spectacular Donegal landscape, Dermot wows his clients with an enlarged double height south facing window, but they’re not so taken with his some of his other visions.

RTE say that Dermot’s biggest challenge of all will be placating his ‘feistiest and most single-minded clients’ yet.

The couple did announce that they were thrilled with the results when they moved in last week, but it’s clear there was a rocky road to get to this point.

Room to Improve airs on RTE One, Sunday 18th February at 9.30pm
