The Downings woman is taking a well-earned break after 16 years as a community manager and a former board member of the Donegal ETB.

Management Committee and staff paid tribute to Marrietta Herraghty on her retirement from Mevagh Family Resource Centre, Downings.

Marrietta gave 16 years’ service to the community of Mevagh as Project Co-ordinator at the Family Resource Centre.

In recognition of her services a retirement party was held in her honour recently at the Glen Bar Restaurant where the Management Committee and work colleagues turned out to wish her the best in her retirement.

Since its establishment, Marrietta has seen the centre grow substantially, and assisted in continually sourcing new programmes, supports, and resources for the local community.
