Beauty blogger Danielle Lynch from Carndonagh has been blogging for just one year but is already being noted as a rising star in the industry.

Danielle’s Stardustbelle blog has been nominated for three awards in the 2017 Irish Beauty Blog Awards.

She will be competing against Ireland’s biggest influencers in her categories – Best Design Blog, Best Social Media Page and Best Newcomer.

Donegal Woman caught up with the Pharmacy Technician in this exciting time for her homegrown brand. To be longlisted for three awards was an unbelievable surprise, Danielle said.

“I never dreamt that I would be here within a year of making my blog public and to be nominated in categories alongside some of the biggest names in the industry is an incredible feeling!”

Danielle has been blogging since 2010 but only gained the confidence last year to bring her profiles out into the public sphere.

“I have loved anything to do with beauty and the beauty industry for as long as I remember. The blogging world is one that has fascinated me for years, I was reading blogs back when blogging was a little-known activity.

“I met some inspirational and motivational people last year, including Suzanne Jackson (aka SoSueMe) whom I had followed for years and Marissa Carter CEO of Cocoa Brown and listening to them, well it lit a fire in me. After a lot of encouragement from my family, I went for it and I haven’t looked back since!”

Danielle saw blogging as the perfect creative outlet for her to write about her passions for beauty and lifestyle moments. Plus, working in a pharmacy means she is in the perfect location to be in the know about the best new beauty products to review for her blog.

Stardustbelle has become an established name in the community in the past year and has brought Danielle many exciting business projects and contacts. She is full of positivity about the experience.

“The support I have received from people, businesses and brands has blown me away. I have had some incredible opportunities in the last year and met some wonderful business people and fellow bloggers whom I have made lifelong friendships with.”

Donegal bloggers are not so common as in other Irish locations and Ireland’s social media stars often congregate in Dublin, as we often see on Snapchat stories. When asked what is it like to be a Donegal blogger, Danielle admits that being so far from the capital can take that bit of extra effort.

“It is fun but it means a lot of travelling to Dublin as all the incredible events I am invited to happen in Dublin. However, I am very passionate about my blog and I don’t take being invited to such events lightly so I make the effort when I can and just do it!”

That determination to succeed with her blog has obviously paid off. Now Danielle is hoping to get through to the shortlist of the Irish Beauty Blog Awards (announced on 19th June) before the grand gala ceremony on 29th June.
