Our Donegal Rose has arrived in Tralee! 🌹 Bes Our Donegal Rose has arrived in Tralee! 🌹 Best of luck to Katie McAteer who is flying the flag for Donegal in the Kingdom. Katie, aged 24, has a fierce pride for her home village of Rathmullan. She studied Journalism and New Media in University of Limerick, which allowed her to live in Barcelona and Glasgow. She currently works in Public Relations and Social Media with The Right Angle agency. Fitness and good mind health are important to Katie, she says. She is the Senior Ladies Captain at Milford GAA where she also helps out with the kids' teams. Having lost her father Frank at a young age, Katie counts herself fortunate to be raised in a close-knit family and a supportive community. She said: “I was raised by and am surrounded by strong women, and it is an honour to be surrounded by so many independent, strong, motivated women on this Rose of Tralee journey.” Katie has already used her new ‘Rose’ title to benefit her community. Earlier this month she held a send-off fundraiser in the Beachcomber Bar to raise over €3,000 for the RNLI and SVP. #donegalrose #roseoftralee
