Local Vouchers for Local Heroes: How the Letterkenny Babies community is giving back

The Covid-19 pandemic has inspired countless people to take action to support healthcare staff on the frontline.

And one special fund has gained great support in the Letterkenny area thanks to the ‘Letterkenny Babies’ community.

Administrators behind the parenting forum have launched a campaign to show appreciation for staff at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Organisers Louise Flanagan and Edel McElhinney are appealing for donations to buy €50 vouchers from local businesses to gift to healthcare heroes battling the outbreak.

Businesses that have had to close as a result of the virus will also be supported by the win-win fund.

With over €2,000 in donations collected already, Louise and Edel have issued a huge thank you to the community for their generosity. They will continue fundraising in order to present a bundle of vouchers to the hospital as a token of thanks to the hardworking staff.
