The 2019 North West Breast Cancer Ball has raised a grand total of €17,150, it was announced his week.

The money was raised at the star-studded 10th anniversary event in the Silver Tassie Hotel Letterkenny in November.

Each year, the event brings hundreds of people out for a glamorous night in support of Breast Centre North West at Letterkenny Unversity Hospital.

The monies raised at the ball supports the continued employment of a fulltime research assistant at Breast Centre North West and research fellows are also employed during the summer months.

In their generous support of the North West Breast Cancer Charity Ball 2019, ball attendees and all who have supported the event have contributed to this work.

The committee has issued a big thank you to all those who attended, sponsored or in any way supported this important community event.

This increasingly popular night on the North West social calendar was attended by a large crowd again in 2019, with glamour and glitter being the order of the day…or night!

“The committee extends particular thanks to Nikki Bradley, our special guest on the night.

“We were delighted also to welcome Majella O Donnell, a great friend of the Breast Ball, and her date for the night, Daniel!

“Also in attendance, with a group of family and friends, was last year’s special guest, Andrea Gilligan. The committee is also keen to acknowledge the support of a great number of sponsors, local and national, whose generosity year after year never ceases to amaze.

“Also worthy of special mention are host Noel Cunningham, as are those public representatives, local businesses, local GP practices and representatives from local media who attended the event.

“Those who danced into the wee hours will know what a contribution the band made to the occasion, so a big ‘thank you’ to the Bentley Boys.

“Thanks also to Ciaran and Rose Blaney and staff at the Silver Tassie Hotel for preparing a stunning venue and excellent meal.

“Thank you from the organising committee and all at Breast Centre North West!! “
