The Letterkenny Babies Facebook group is back with a second Communion Wear fundraiser in January 2020.

The sale is a win-win for everyone – families donate their pre-loved communion wear to be sold at bargain prices, with all proceeds going towards a local cause.

The Donegal Women’s Centre will benefit from all money raised from this year’s event, which takes place upstairs in Babyzone Letterkenny on Sunday 26th January 1-4pm.

But first, the organisers need donations of First Communion dresses, suits and accessories to prepare for the sale.

Do you have a stunning First Communion dress or the cutest little suit hanging in the back of a wardrobe for the best part of a decade?

“We understand the sentimental attachment but please consider FINALLY letting it see the light of day again. After all, clothes are for wearing,” said the Letterkenny Babies admins.

The event is completely reliant on kind donations, so if you have any dresses, suits, veils, bags, shirts, ties, dickie bows, underskirts, etc. that deserve another day out, please consider donating them to be gratefully received by new buyers.

“Even if it is currently a little grubby from wear or storage, we will get it drycleaned and ready for its big day in the spotlight.”

Please message the Letterkenny Babies with any questions or drop any Communion items off at one of the drop off points: Sonder Cafe, Babyzone or JayCee’s XL at Long Lane (open 7 days until 10pm).

If you’re living further away and can’t make it to a drop off point, please message Letterkenny Babies to arrange a collection.
