A Letterkenny woman is tapping into her acting talents for a fundraiser with a difference in aid of ISPCC Childline.

Deirbhile Ní Chathail

Deirbhile Ní Chathail, born and bred in Letterkenny, is now working in Dublin on the Vodafone Graduate programme. As part of the company’s charity partnership, she and her colleagues have volunteered to star an episode of a famous TV show to be aired at the Vodafone TV Awards in November.

It may not be her usual role in the company, but Deirbhile is embracing the challenge and doing her part to support ISPCC Childline.

The red carpet fundraiser has a €50,000 target, with each cast member being encouraged to raise a certain amount of their own.

Deirbhile, who is a past pupil of Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin and Coláiste Ailigh, has organised a fun Table Quiz in Arena 7, on Thursday 3rd of October to give her family, friends and neighbours, and all Letterkenny locals an opportunity to donate to this great cause while enjoying a fun evening.

The Quiz Master on the night will be Chris Duddy, whom many people will have seen on the An Grianán Stage over the years.

Deirbhile is inviting everyone to come along and said: “We have wonderful prizes including one or two new season Ireland rugby jerseys up for grabs in the raffle and vouchers for local amenities!”

Deirbhile is hoping that the quiz will raise as much money as possible for such an important cause:

“The work of ISPCC Childline is a vital service in this country for kids and young people.”
