Rushe Fitness gym owner Emmet challenges us to go outside this week - it's that simple!

This week’s challenge is fairly self explanatory.

I want you to get out and get at LEAST 30 mins of fresh air every day this week.

With the change in the weather, the longer evenings and the increase in temperature, this should make it much easier to achieve this challenge.

It is so easy to fall into a rut of sitting inside watching television or scrolling through social media, that it nearly becomes a chore to go outside at all.

So, it’s time to change all of that.

With more of us working indoors, in air-conditioned offices, with little to no natural light, getting outside and getting your daily dose of Vitamin D along with 30 mins of fresh air is really important for our health and mental wellbeing.

You have loads of options to choose from in order to get your 30 mins of fresh air in:

  • Walking
  • Jogging
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Walk to the shops
  • Sit and relax outside
  • Go for a picnic
  • Play with your kids
  • Go for a walk with your partner, friends or work colleague

It doesn’t really matter what you do, as long as you are going out and doing it and getting your 30 mins in.

This challenge also gives us a chance to get some head space and get away from technology for a little bit, like I suggested in our previous challenge a few weeks ago, so it has benefits on every front.

So, let’s hear it.

Where is your favourite places to go and get some fresh air?

If you have some we might not know about, be sure to let us know in the comments.

Be sure to have a great time doing it.
