Two of Donegal's well loved and recognised brands have come together to bring the best of the county to Dublin.

Magee 1866 tweed and Lough Eske Castle hotel joined forces for a night of Donegal-centric style in the company of leading names in Irish fashion.

The event took place on Thursday in the Magee shop on South Anne Street Dublin. Guests were invited to come along and sample Donegal’s delights with gin from the Sliabh Liag Distillery, spa treatments from Lough Eske Castle’s Cara Organic Beauty Spa, tasty treats made by the five star hotel’s new Head Chef Richard McKee, and a chance to see Magee 1866’s new Spring Summer collection first hand.

Magee 1886 and Lough Eske Castle will be working closely together on their new “Made to Measure” tailoring service.

The two brands were toasting their union last night as they introduced the new service for guests staying at the hotel. Magee 1866 will send out a tailor to guests who wish to get measured for a suit from the comfort of their own bedroom. The suit will then be sent directly to the person 6 weeks later once it has been carefully designed and crafted by Magee.

In attendance were Chairman and Founder of Lough Eske Castle Pat Doherty and Chairman of Magee 1866 tweed Lynn Temple, who gave a rousing speech on the synergy of the two brands.

Conal Harvey, a Director of Harcourt Developments spoke on behalf of Lough Eske Castle. Speeches were rounded off by the hotel’s General Manager Donal Cox, who reported a stellar start to 2019 with January’s revenue in the hotel up by 30% on 2018.

Guests at the event included: models Teodora Sutra, Roz Lipsett, January Winters and James Boggan. Stylists such as Anne Marie O’Connor, Cathy O’Connor, Emily O’Donnell and Martha Gilheaney enjoyed sampling the hotel’s new ESPA range of products whilst browsing the rails.

Other well known faces included Louise Lynn with partner Owen Cullen, singer Paul Byrom, Rachel Purcell, wedding planner Tara Fay, and bloggers Rob Kenny, The Galway Player Kieran O’Malley and Chloe Townsend.
