Young and old will be in for a treat at this charity event.

The countdown is on to the Letterkenny Babies big Christmas party this Sunday, 9th December.

The popular parents’ Facebook page is throwing another festive fundraiser, this time in aid of The Belarus Orphanage Appeal.

Parents, guardians and children are invited to dress up in Christmas jumpers and enjoy fun and games in the Letterkenny Community Centre from 3-6pm.

Highlights will be a massive bouncy castle, slide and activities, disco with DJ Marty, Christmas elves from Loreto Letterkenny to entertain the kids, festive face painting and the fantastic Party Animals petting zoo.

This year, all proceeds will be going to The Belarus Orphanage Appeal, overseen by Ramelton woman Myrtle Doherty.

Each year, Myrtle gathers lorry loads of donated clothes, nappies, medication and other vital supplies to send to help those in need in the orphanages of Belarus. The money raised from the Letterkenny Babies Christmas party will be spent buying exactly what is required to ensure that the next delivery is better than ever.

Cost of entry to the party will be €5 per child, €6 for two, €7 for three, etc, as it was last year. There will also be donation buckets for the face painting and treat stands and a raffle with great prizes donated by local businesses.
