Donegal will be buzzing with entrepreneurial spirit on April 10th 2019 - and we here at DW are delighted to be part of the excitement.

The global online Women’s Inspire Network have set their sights on Donegal for their sixth annual conference.

On April 10th 2019, women in business, WIN members and non-members will gather at Harvey’s Point for a day of inspiration, learning, knowledge sharing and networking.

Women’s Inspire Events

The event, entitled ‘Overcoming Challenges’ will connect Donegal women and female entrepreneurs in the north west with the global Women’s Inspire Network.

The Irish-based group connects female entrepreneurs in the business community – bringing everyone together online so they can collaborate, network, and succeed together from anywhere.

DonegalWoman.ie is linking up with Women’s Inspire for a ‘WIN-WIN’ collaboration. We will be bringing you business profiles and advice from WIN members and telling you all you need to know before April’s event in Donegal.

Rachel McLaughlin, DonegalWoman.ie and Samantha Kelly, Women’s Inspire

Samantha Kelly (aka Tweeting Goddess) is the founder of Women’s Inspire. She was inspired to bring the conference to Donegal next year due to the high activity and support from local women in the network.

On WIN’s media partnership with DW, Samantha said: “Collaboration is a huge factor in building a successful business and community so I’m delighted that Donegal Woman have come on board to highlight the local and national opportunities that are out there especially in this digital world.”

The conference will feature a mix of international speakers and local experts taking to the stage to help female entrepreneurs by sharing their knowledge and experience of overcoming challenges.

Speakers already announced are Interior designer Anne Tuohy, Down Below Physio Lorraine Boyce and Tweeting Goddess Samantha Kelly, with more speakers to be announced including two social media influencers from the USA.

The conference will highlight the great work being done by networks in the area and educate attendees on social media, give tips on marketing and reaching global markets in particular.

The new Garden Suite conference centre at Harvey’s Point will be the ideal venue for the gathering. Hotelier Deirdre McGlone is a Women’s Inspire member and a keen advocate of local women in business.

Samantha said: “Deirdre has been a huge supporter of what Women’s Inspire Network is doing and, as a thank you, we decided to hold our conference in Harvey’s Point in Donegal and attract people to the area and show off what Donegal has to offer and the entrepreneurial community that has grown in the North West.

“I’m a huge fan of Harvey’s Point and of supporting and highlighting female role models like Deirdre and Rachel McLaughlin, Editor of DonegalWoman.ie,” Samantha added.

Deirdre McGlone

Deirdre McGlone said: “We are looking forward to giving all Women’s Inspire conference attendees a warm welcome to our The Garden Suite at Harvey’s Point next April.

“Hosting the event is another chance for me to fulfil a role that I take great pride in – supporting aspiring female entrepreneurs and making the voice of women in business heard in our community and our country.

“I believe in the power of sharing knowledge, specifically whereby women can help other women to reach their goals and live their dreams. The upcoming conference is an opportunity for all local women to benefit from collaboration,” she said.

Samantha invites all women in the north west to get involved with WIN, whether through engaging with their thousands of followers online or by coming to the Donegal conference.

“Having good people around you and support is crucial for any business or community so we want to encourage any women who would like to attend, to reach out and follow us on social media or join the network. We have weekly webinars and mentoring online so there is no need to travel and take time away from building your empire,” Samantha said.

Here at DW we always have our finger on the pulse of all that is happening for women in Donegal, so stay tuned for more insight on Women’s Inspire Donegal in the months to come.
