Here are some great opportunities to get involved in the community fundraiser:

Kelly’s Centra and Kelly’s Diner at Mountain Top Letterkenny are hosting two great events this month for Action Breast Cancer and the Irish Cancer Society.

October is breast cancer awareness month and an important time to awareness of the disease and fundraising for free patient support services.

Kelly’s have raised thousands of euro for the Irish Cancer Society over the years. They’re at it again in 2018 with multiple fundraising events.

The first being a coffee morning next Saturday 13th October from 10am.

Followed by a 5K walk the week after on Saturday 20th October departing from Kelly’s Centra.

All participants are welcome! Details in the posters below:

“Spear-headed by Susan Doherty, all of these events are to raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society,” said a store spokesperson.

“They have played a vital role in the growth of Mountain Top. Call in and show them your support. It’s time for us to give back.”

Most recent figures show that an average of 129 women in Donegal are diagnosed with breast cancer annually. Despite growing incidence of breast cancer, over 86 per cent of women now survive their breast cancer diagnosis for five years.

Money raised through the Cups Against Breast Cancer fundraising campaign and sponsored walk will help fund lifesaving research and free services including Daffodil Centres and the Freephone CancerNurseline.
