Grainne, who is a nurse and who focuses on women’s health, will speak about emotions during pregnancy.
Michelle Doherty of Mamogs, the founder and organiser of the event said: “This is the second year for the Pregnancy and Family Wellness Day. Last year was such a success that we have doubled in size this year.”
Michelle has also brought in seven key speakers along with Grainne who will keep the public informed on all things pregnancy, birth, child and family related throughout the day.
Each of these talks are free to attend and you can book in advance if you like to secure your place. No tickets are needed to attend the event just come along on the day.
“The line up we have is fantastic,” said Michelle. “We also have over 30 stands with business and services, private and public from across the Northwest that support and provide for pregnancy, birth, those with young babies or the growing family.”
“We will also be supporting the charity Nurture on the day. There will be a few collection points around, so if people enjoyed the talks or were happy with the day they might consider donating a few euro. Nurture supports women’s health around the area of depression in pregnancy, fertility issues, post-natal depression and grief, a very worthy cause.”
